Comments

[edit]

You can get rid of the header “The Female Gaze” and move it above the contents box so that it is directly below the article title. You need to cite the first sentence. Whose response to Mulvey’s male gaze is it?

Check the link for “Visual Pleasure and Narrative Cinema,” is there a link for that article? Add link to scopophilia page if there is one.

Ital the titles of all movies, including Rebecca and Stella Dallas and link if possible.

Seems well balanced and laid out description of the term with many links to other articles that are fitting with the subject.

"is written like a personal reflection or opinion essay"

[edit]

Can't see any evidence of this personal opinion. Will be removing tag if there's no objections. Battleofalma (talk) 09:40, 30 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Battleofalma, regarding this, I know editors who would state that the article is still essay-like. Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 16:42, 1 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Other tags removed

[edit]

GetSomeUtah, regarding this, how do you know that none of the tags apply anymore? How do you know that there is no WP:Original research, including WP:Synthesis, in the article? Those things do not simply go away with your addition of material to the article. Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 16:42, 1 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings. Thank you for your inquiry, Flyer22 Reborn. One tag requested additional citations, which were added. The other tag was about WP:Original research. The (pre-existing) language of the article was sourced quite well to reputable academic studies. I don't see evidence of OR. If the tag/tags are re-added (by you or someone else), it would be helpful to flag which text, specifically (by paragraph/sentence), is the concern for OR. All too often these tags stay on for years despite an article's improvement over time. I'm happy to collaborate with you on addressing your concerns regarding these tags so that the article is improved. Regards, GetSomeUtah (talk) 17:52, 1 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Pejorative term used

[edit]

Hey I am not really sure how to do this, but in the section "Theoretical implementation" the term "gypsies" is used which is considers a pejorative term by the Romani people and says so on that Wikipedia page. Sasha Sisyphus (talk) 12:04, 17 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
